Occasionally one user on your site will need to perform in more than one capacity. For example, a user may be a clinician whose work product requires review and approval by a supervisor and is assigned to the Clinician 1 role. Yet this same person may also perform QA review for other users, requiring assignment to the Supervisor role. When this is true, a single user account will not allow them to perform both functions. The solution is to create a secondary Exym log on account, one that will be used to document services for the clients on their own caseload; the other that will be used to perform QA review. You should link these user accounts so that it is clear that they belong to the same person.
Linking is done by editing the user accounts, choosing one to set as the Master Account and linking the other user accounts for the same person to the master. To do this:
- Select Admin – Users – Edit Users from the main menu.
- Choose the secondary user account.
- Click Manage next to Master User Account.

- Select the Master account to link to from the list provided. Click Link User Account to Selected Master User Account.

Note: Accounts that are linked to another user account and inactive accounts cannot be linked as a Master User Account and will not appear in this list.
The user’s account screen will update to show that it is linked to a Master User account.
If the user has more than two log on accounts, repeat these steps to link all the secondary accounts to the Master account record.
The Master account screen will be updated to list the subsidiary account(s) linked.
