Hello,
I would like to make a request for all users to be able to have a supervisor or manger added to their profile no matter what role they are assigned. Please see two examples below.
We have therapist's that are supervising case managers, but are not in a full-time supervisor role. Unfortunately, the only way to allow them to approve a case manager's documentation is by changing their role to manager, but then this means that we cannot put a supervisor for the therapist so this makes it difficult for the therapist's supervisor to review their assessments and treatment plans because we're unable to add a supervisor for a therapist II. This is makes reporting inaccurate because the therapist has no supervisor and their supervisor is unable to run reports to review that staff's work.
We also have the situations where we have therapists that at times need to manage the financial tab in Exym. Currently we have to set them up at Limited Admin-Billing, however those therapists still require their Assessments and Care plans approved by a supervisor. This is causing issues in supervising.
We would like to request that every user no matter their role, to be able to have a manger/and or supervisor added if we elect to do so. Has another agency made this request in the past?
Thank you, in advance for your time.

Hi Evelyn Leonidas,
Thank you for reaching out to us with this feature request. We have discussed this with our product development team and have determined that we cannot build this new feature at this time. We keep an ongoing list of feature requests, and we have added this with a note to follow up with you should we work on it in the future.
Our best recommendation is to set up secondary user accounts for staff at your site who require this feature. Link the accounts so that it is clear that one person has more than one active login account. Linking user accounts is covered in the Exym Admin Manual. The user roles and workflow/signature requirements are outlined below.
NOTE: When using this option, the users must log in to Exym under the correct user login for the task they need to perform.
Clinician 1 - Entry-level therapist whose notes, plans, and assessments require review and approval with co-signature by their assigned supervisor. May be subject to QA review.
Clinician 2 - Probationary - Therapist whose notes, plans, and assessments require review and approval without their assigned manager without co-signature. May be subject to QA review.
Clinician 3 - Therapist whose notes do not require review or co-signature. Assessments and plans require review by an assigned Manager, usually with co-signature. However, that option may be turned off on the user account screen by checking the Suppress supervisor’s signature on Plans and Assessments box on the Function tab. May be subject to QA review.
Clinician 4 - Therapist who does not require review.
Supervisor - Someone who oversees clinicians and/or case managers’ work, reviewing and co-signing when required by their supervisee’s roles.
Supervisor - Probation - Typically used for new supervisors who are in a training period and whose work is reviewed by an assigned Manager to ensure that they perform to agency standards. All notes, assessments, and plans they write and those they review and approve for their supervisees are forwarded to their assigned manager for secondary review without co-signature.
Case Manager - Typically used for staff with less than a master’s degree and who are not qualified by DMH Scope of Practice rules to perform therapy. Their notes are reviewed and co-signed by their assigned supervisor. They are not allowed to write assessments and care plans. May be subject to QA review.
Case Manager + Add Clients - Same as Case Manager, but they can add new client records to the system. Frequently used for people like intake coordinators with less than a master’s degree. May be subject to QA review.
Manager - 2nd Level Supervisor - They oversee supervisors and the supervisors’ workgroups.
