There can only be one location assigned to the client’s chart, however notes can be billed/added out of multiple locations. What the clinician would just need to do is the following:
- Write their note as they normally would
- Once the note has been written, they would locate the activity on the activities grid and click the edit link:

There is no method for Exym to prevent a clinician from neglecting to choose the right location for a client note, if client is seen in 2 locations or clinician works in 2 locations. This is a training issue, and best practice is for MIS to check for these before they process billing... see info here:
Each clinician can have just one default location set so for a clinician who works at more than one location, this wouldn't accomplish what you're looking for.

Other customers handle this by training their staff to be aware of the locations associated with their activities and correct it as needed.
Do you have a process where billing staff checks this before claims are batched into 837s? Assuming that your billers know that a specific type of activity, like TBS, should not be associated with a given location, if they review the Accounting -- EDI -- Review EDI Ready claims screen they can catch errors like this before those claims are batched into 837 files.
